When heavy rainfall overwhelms the sewer network and the connected infrastructure of the sewage treatment plants, the Aquastop can remedy the situation simply and cost-effectively.
During heavy rain, more than eight to ten times the regular amount of water must be absorbed by the sewage system at times. Wastewater treatment plants and sewer systems are often unable to cope with this challenge, which results in high costs.
The use of Aquastop reliably prevents too rapid and uncontrolled entry into the sewer network and — as required — ensures ventilation of the sewer. As a result, treatment costs are significantly reduced. In separation systems, an external water seal prevents rainwater from flowing into the waste water channel.
The area of application includes all common mixing and separation systems as well as all underground plants into which little or no water may penetrate.
