Street drain filters also effectively filter malodorous gases while simultaneously permitting street water drainage. The sewer is open to natural gas exchange within the sewer system. The siphon system means that the intake capacity of the sewer system is unimpaired. Water can flow away unimpeded and the air stream is uniformly filtered through the hybrid mats.
The hybrid activated carbon filter stops odour emissions from all common sewer manholes and additionally ensures unimpeded inflow of extraneous water into the sewer system.
Applications include all common combined and divided water systems, specifically those without black/grey water and rainwater segregation.
