Environmental technology: When the company smells

Bad odors from production and waste water plants not only affect employees, residents and nature, but also quickly activate the Environment Agency. Fritzmeier Umwelttechnik is fighting back with the Coalsi Volumenmax.

The current generation of the stationary exhaust air filter comes with the latest technology, creates 2820 m³/h and measures only 131 x 131 cm with a standing height of 376 cm. A power connection is sufficient.

Technologically, the manufacturer combines physical, biological and chemical components to form an efficient cleaning system. It automatically sucks in unpleasant-smelling atmospheres and process gases and funnels them through a sophisticated filter cascade. A central element is the powerful activated carbon adsorber with an inflow area of around 8 m². The leaking clean gas is odourless and the output can be individually adjusted.

Fritzmeier Umwelttechnik is the only provider of triple hybrid systems of this type. According to statistics, bad smell is one of the most common reasons for complaints - filters are the technological answer.

Even with 100 percent fan output, the power consumption is quite low at 0.71 kW/h. At low temperatures, a self-regulating heater switches on. The freely positionable and, at less than 50 dB (A), very quiet system — comparable to a refrigerator — can run as needed or in continuous operation. Predecessor systems are used in many places.

Fritzmeier Umwelttechnik from Großhelfendorf near Munich is a leading manufacturer of filters for municipalities, production companies and agriculture. The systems offered under the coalsi brand, including channel insert and pipe filters, are characterized by their high overall performance. The company is part of the Fritzmeier Group with over 2300 employees at 14 locations.
